QATAR’S ADEL ABDULLA CLOSES IN ON VALUABLE T2 POINTS FOR SECOND PLACE IN ABU DHABI DESERT CHALLENGE

Qatar’s Adel Abdulla is now just one tricky special stage away from confirming points for the second position in the T2 standings at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, after surviving a tricky fourth loop stage through the Rub Al-Khali keeping his T2 championship challenge on track with navigator Nasser Al-Kuwari on what turned out to be a tricky stage for the near-standard T2 cars.
Adel began the day 47min 53.9sec behind the first competitor and reached the finish of the 244.49km section in a time of 4hrs 53min 52sec. He heads into the last day trailing his rival by 57min 31.9sec.  All wishes for the champions in the last stage.
